A recent innovation is Fasson® S8049, an adhesive that uses patented Avery Dennison technology to achieve the adhesion levels required by the automotive industry without the usual conversion challenges. Using a rubber hybridised acrylic adhesive gives ultimate adhesion with the straightforward conversion and chemical resistance of an acrylic base. Fasson® S8049 adhesive was developed in response to cost pressures in the automotive value chain, as well as the increasing use of low surface energy plastics such as Polypropylene. Press time for label converters has been substantially reduced and adhesion is approximately double that offered by previous product choices. An added advantage is the ability to reposition for a period of time.
